In Hawaii, lei making is a wonderful event that usually precedes a family gathering or a special celebration. It’s a time for family and friends to come together and “talk story” and share in the spirit of aloha while they each make a lei.
Each kit includes 200 lei flowers (orchids), 4 lei needles, lei twine, and lei making instructions. It takes 50 lei flowers to create one single strand lei, so if you want to make more than 4 leis, we advise you to purchase extra lei flowers. *Green orchids are much smaller than the purple or white, therefore we do not advise choosing all green (your leis will be much shorter).
